The most important part of photography is that YOU like what you produce, everybody else just has their opinion. |

Thanks for the comments. The green is some form of seaweed as these figures are fully submerged twice a day. I do tend to over crop and now agree the clouds should become part of the final image so need to go back to the original and do this again. |

I do a lot of portraits and absolutely love this one, well done. The conversion to b&w suits the subject, and losing the conflicting lines of the background sheet was essential. I don't agree with Stephen about the smile, a hard life does not mean an unhappy one. I would look to add/enhance the catchlight in the eyes to bring them to life, especially as the beard has been brightly lit. Look to the left of the turban for a white line that needs attention. |

I'm with Alan here, to have all 3 ducklings in focus would make it stronger. I think including mum is fine, and by changing the focal point rather than the dof she would be a bit more blurred. Another nice to have would be some separation between mum and the chicks. |

Superb capture, the girl/woman is well placed and vital for the image, both in providing scale and interest. My first impression was a disaster scene with the building collapsing, in which case the figure would have to be running away, but there must be so many possibilities if you have more shots to choose from. I was in Beijing in 2008 just prior to the olympics, what a fabulous city. I've dropped the image into Topaz Clarity for comparison. |

An excellent grab shot, and the correction of verticals and pushing the saturation does make a huge improvement. I like the additional touch of adding the glow to the street lamp, and I think a bit more to match the light on the door frame would work too. Watch out for the car headlight drawing your eye away. |

The addition of the border wall, and especially including the grass has given the image scale again. Yes you have definitely improved on the original art work but what are you adding as the photographer? Have you a figure/dog/cow that could be added admiring the work? |

I haven't seen your earlier shot so can only comment on this one. I think Alan was on the right track to make it more fantasy, but this was a bit too far for me. The other suggestions evolve the picture but I don't agree with Stephen about cropping out the sky, I would make it more of a feature with something like this beam of light. I also think it's important to keep the whites white to stand out and frame your subject. |
