Hi Don, I like it too. It's a clever composition. I also like Lance's editing and agree that it lifts the image. |

Hi Adi
Another interesting, engaging, strong tonal image. The unbalanced nature of the composition is a personal choice and I guess you have a reason for going with that. Maybe just to challenge the viewer to wonder why. I love the patterns within patterns throughout the entire image. The building reflection bottom breaks the pattern in an interesting way. I would prefer if the left side of the image was cropped off so the two rows of windows are in groups of three with contrasting tonal patterns- the dark, light, light top windows as opposed to the dark, dark, light lower windows. |

Hi Michael
What I notice first about this image is what looks like pure black and white and I'm wondering if this is to do with using Silver FX? The lab which prints my image always recommends a certain paper because it gets the best result in terms of pure black and white. But I can't achieve it in my digitals. The second thing I notice is the delicacy of the Cow Parsely and how well it stands out against the water. The dark areas at the top and bottom and defines the wates and frames the stalks. The contrast between the sharp stalks and the softer river tones provides nice balance. I can't see much difference between the two images so the filter is very subtle. |
