Thanks Pat - I just did a reply to Ruth about the bush if you would like to look at that. Thanks for the comment on the photo. It was nice seeing the toadies coming up after several years of dry conditions. Hope you and your family are well and keeping away from the virus. We all have a big fight on our hands. Outdoor photography is a little bit more challenging now with the restrictions though. Take care. |

Thanks Ruth - the fires were really scary, especially when you live on the edge of bushland that is tinder dry from months of drought like conditions. Lots of support came from other countries including the US though which was heartening. The bush near me was not affected and the nice bit of rain we got has greened up the undergrowth so it's looking nice. Climate change is here to stay, and now with the virus, we have huge challenges ahead. Hope you and your family are safe and taking great care to avoid the virus. |

Yes, you are right of course. I was thinking of it being more abstract but the Opera House is definitely recognisable so I no longer think my comment is relevant. |

Oh Pat, this is awful. We saw some footage on TV showing the widespread devastation. Just like the bushfires here, so many lives shattered and somehow have to be rebuilt. |

Love your yard! It's a treasure trove. I have learned something here - I would call these jonquils so I had to look up narcissus to see if that they are from the same family. I didn't realise that. They make a great display and you have captured them beautifully. |

I love the delicate pastel shades here. The shapes of the Opera House are apparent but the image now resembles something more fluid. Almost like a windstorm in the desert. I wonder how it would look if flipped horizontal so stormy bit in the top half swooped to the right rather than to the left? Like it a lot. |

It amazes me that you got such a beautiful image out of the original. A most pleasing composition and very creative. |
