ProCamera is excellent because it shoots in raw- lots of room for playing around. Bit disappointing that I couldn't upload what I was seeing on the phone though. But I agree with you and Janet about focusing on the path. Your edits have made a big difference and made the path pop. I like that. |

Thanks for those useful tips Janet. I am inclined to agree because the centre is certainly where the interest is. Also, thank you so much for those thoughts and prayers on the bushfires. Living where you do you certainly understand the anxiety. I live just over the road from the bush where I took the photo and think it is only a matter of time before we lose it. Arsonists are a big part of the problem |

No change. At least I know how to resize now and upload from phone. Time to go for a walk I think. |

I need to resize the image but don't think I can do it in Procamera - need a third party app. Any advice on suitable app for iPhone? I'll keep working on it. |

Thanks Belinda - good info here! And yes, it does look like a Hobbit scene and that's probably why I liked it. I've haven't thought of working directly from the phone - it would make life a lot easier than transferring to computer. That phone screen looks very small though...... I'll get back to you. |

I want to come and explore your garden Ruth! You've got an abundance of creatures and you have made a great project out of capturing all their images. The grasshopper is nicely placed in the frame. Lots of detail in the body and could maybe do with a bit of sharpening. |

Great capture of the man and his accordion - he looks a bit whimsical with nothing much happening in his little patch. Something much be happening down to his right though. I don't think the image would suffer by getting rid of the doorway - the interest is all in the man and the mystery of what has captured his attention. |

Thanks Laurie and Ruth. It's interesting because the image was very vibrant with all colours saturated on the phone. A bit unreal, but I liked it. However, in the process of transferring it to the computer to submit to the group, it changed to what you see. Maybe transferring to the computer is an unnecessary step - I can send straight from the phone. |

That's a beautiful image Laurie. Your edits are subtle - it was a great image from the beginning. You've got yourself a pretty good phone there! |

Have to agree with Laurie here. It's quite remarkable in my opinion and shows a very good working knowledge of post processing. You have created something beautiful from something ordinary Belinda. |

Looks like you might be enjoying a special relationship with your granddaughter through photography. Very special and worth nurturing. The photo too is a lovely memento of the time you spent together. It's an interesting image with all the wooden clogs similar but not the same. Too late now of course, but I would like to see the same image without your granddaughter's legs. Just her colourful sandals at the end of the line. |
