Thanks Belinda - did you try it with a phone camera or DSLR? Maybe I need a tripod and remote for the phone. |

Yes, it turns out the label is the focus and that's not what I wanted. Agree that there is potential for this type of image so I will work at it and put up another at a later date. The design will take care of itself if I take proper care with the setup. |

I just re-checked the other thumbnails submitted for this round. They all show up as expected. Yours is the only one that zooms in. It's the first time this has happened so might just be a system glitch. May fix itself next round. |

What an amazing experience it must have been to reach that destination and you have captured an image on a grand scale. I can only see the original as a thumbnail (when I click on it, it zooms right in) so can't see all the detail. The B&W version is striking with good tonal contrasts and the leading line of the glacier, which is the focal point. The tiny sunbathers give you some idea of the perspective and add interest. The colour version may emphasise the glacier a bit more but hard for me tell. Hope you end up with the answer to your question. |

What an interesting photo. No one is eyeballing anyone so there is a disconnect between the characters in the story. Makes you wonder what is going on. The guy on the right looks like an important, and perhaps impatient, businessman. We'll never know. Whatever, you have captured a moment in their lives. Agree with the notion of bringing back some of the space on the left. |

Lucky you going into Fall. Downunder in Queensland we are experiencing extreme summer conditions and Spring has just begun! Crazy weather. But back to your image and another record of the critters in your backyard. It a lovely image, nice and sharp and well composed. Perfect background for the lizard and appropriate earthy tones. But I am puzzled by "grasshopper". Is it a grasshopper lizard or is that a pet name you have given it? |

Good decision not to delete. I agree with Belinda's comments on straightening. Should you or shouldn't you? But as it is, the strange tilt adds to the eerie feeling you have captured and the muted tones add further to the atmosphere. Do you think you would lose anything by cropping down from the top and getting rid of the corner? |

I love that image! I can see why it is inspirational for a children's storybook illustration. A lesson in multi-app editing as well. Very clever - congratulations. |
