I like high key images, and while I'm not sure if you were going for that effect, this image works as a high key image. This is an image that draws the viewer into it and helps us to empathize with the young lady. It's very nicely done. |

I love these kind of images, and I like the way you did the edges. Great image. |

This is a really nice image, and I would not have wanted the girls to look up at me. That would make it look like a posed shot. The way this is done tells a story. And I really like the way you added the light. My only comment is I think a little more work needs to be done on the right side of the picture to give a little more depth and clarity to the rocks on that side. But overall, nice job. |

This is a nice image just as it is. I personally don't see a need to tone down the green any. I think it all works very well. Nice job, Georgianne. |

Our local club has a Double Vision contest each year where an artist is randomly paired with a photographer. The artist picks out one of the photographer's images to then create her own image, which can be an exact duplicate or the artist can use it as inspiration for something new. We recently had our pairing, and my artist, who is a very experienced artist, chose four of my images to consider. Yesterday, she then told me of the four, she chose this image to do her painting from. I will then show my photograph at the exhibit and she will show her work. I'll be anxious to see what she does. The show will be in February and it generally draws a couple thousand visitors to it. |

Thank you Witta. I'm not one to think in terms of classifying a photograph as being in one category or another category. I just think in terms of what appeals to me and what I think might appeal to others. She was carrying the red handbag and the newspaper when I met her. I left them in because I think it gives the viewer a more complete picture of her.
For example, to me, it was intriguing that she was carrying a newspaper in this day and age when nobody I know at least reads paper newspapers anymore. It says something about her. Is she anti-technology? Is she old fashion? It makes me wonder.
And I thought the overall look was good. I also like to include when I can a touch of red in my photographs because I think red draws the viewer into the photograph, and at the same time, I don't find it distracting in this case.
I do appreciate hearing your perspective on this image though; it helps me to understand how others might see my images. Thanks. |

Thank you Georgianne. I usually use Topaz DeNoise AI on my images, but I don't recall now if I did on this or not. |

This is a great image Beverly. It tells a nice story. I was looking at the first image and seeing how well your final versions were sharpened from that first. I hadn't read your description yet, but I wondered if you were using Topaz AI Sharpening. The checkers might use a little more sharpening, but you did a nice job in sharpening most of the photograph.
The subject and the poses really make this picture I think. I like it a lot. |

This image made me laugh. And it's one that I would have had to take too. It is so dramatic in the story it tells. I like how you got low to the ground on this to take the picture at their level too. That makes all the difference in the world. |

Where did everybody go this month? LOL!
I really like this image, and I like it for the same reasons you do, Bill. There's so much going on in it, and that shows the bustle of activity that is happening. So, this image really works for me. |
