As a street photographer i always ask 2 questions when I photograph someone...1) how are you? and 2) do you mind if i take your photo?
So when I look at your photo I drawn in based on my question 1 above; how are you? The woman's facial expression which you capture so well has a lot to tell.
I like to color composure of all the vibrant orange and yellows around the photo (which are comic-book like to me) that lead you to the great skin tones of the woman's face that are so real and human.
The tilt of the woman's body and stare lead you across the table to the other woman who seems not too interested at all.
Your camera settings allowed a crisp photo that made me feel like i was sitting at the table next to the woman.
I'm really looking forward to your future photos because of the emotion you have capture through your photographic technique.
Great capture!!!
(Sorry for the delay in my responses)

1st of all, how great it must of been to go to Cuba! I hope that one day I get the opportunity to go and meet the people and enjoy the Cuban food and heritage.
Your photo has some great sharp lines; but the 2 arches take you step by step over the ruble through the photo on an adventure.
The use of dark shadows in the forefront of the picture and the beaming light in the back of the photo show you a safe way out from my adventure.
The classic colors in your photo vividly remind me of my recent visit to the Temple of Dendur at the MET in NYC.
I really enjoyed the adventure your photo took me on and I look forward to your future photos/adventures
Thanks for sharing

What a tough photo to take and you nailed it!
As a street photographer i always find it a challenge to go from outside light to insight light with dramatic shadows (i'm Looking forward to you and the rest of our group to advise/coach me on how to improve my inside photos).
Not only did you capture an interesting mood in your picture using the shadows from outside sunlight, but you also captured "true" colors throughout the photo (look at the orange peel on his plate and the metallic luster on the bow on her head).
Great capture of everyday life and I look forward to your your future postings.
Have a great weekend

How can you go wrong with a photo that has the color PINK in it?
The settle vertical and horizontal lines throughout the photo take you from some one is watching the girls from behind the bench to sitting along side them to staring to the hopeful horizon with them.
The lighting in your photo makes it appear as a pastel painting, and shooting from a low angle along with framing the subjects offcenter to left was a brillent move.
I'm viewing your photo on a Friday during my lunch break, and you have inspired me to grab my camera and head off to the beach to take photos.
Thanks for sharing such a beautiful photo.
I can't wait to see your future posts inthis group.
Have a great weekend.

Richard -I know this street even though I have never been on it. I know each of those people even though I have never meet any of them. I have read your story without opening your book.
Low camera angle, people walking towards you (capturing slow causal movement), dark storm clouds chasing the photo from the upper right corner of the photo, 6 unique emotions in the faces, not too vibrant grey tones, tell your street story.
I love street photography because through its imperfections is perfection.
I'm really excited to step into more of your stories, i mean photo's...
thanks for sharing! |
