I'm a lover of textures too. That's interesting that there were bricks behind the concrete/stucco? Perhaps once full of life and character until the building was covered in a different material with strict patterns and lines. I wouldn't be surprised if the bars on the window were installed at the time of the conversion. I suppose this picture could be a metaphor for life, maybe a person once living in the country, goes to college, turns corporate, then retiring and returning to the life they've missed. Life anew post retirement. Wow, great find and capture! |

Hi Susan,
I'm glad you chose to make this image monochrome, it adds to the mysterious mood. I've done zoom blurs, but never to help create a story in a scene--bravo for that! |

Perfect, Judith! On first glance, I thought those were some kind of streamers. This is so much more cooler, great bokeh and I like the "ropey" texture of the rain and the warmth of the scene! |

Karl, I love it! We must have had the same theme going. I made me a new screensaver using a picture I took of water shooting out of this thing in front of a movie theatre. When I look at it, it helps cool me down when I feel hot. Your pic has a lot of power and action in it and also looks like a nice secret place to cool down. I like the lighting and the movement in your picture. |
