Judith, Thank you for your perspective. Looking forward to next month's images from everyone! The buffalo near my home in Denver are showing off their babies. The weather has been crazy with snow on May 21st, big thunderstorms (and those beautiful dark clouds) and most recently--golf-ball size hail, we had to put in a claim for one of our cars. Good fodder for image-making though.

I was certainly focused on the judge's face. His face was interesting and his expression intense as if every thought was purposeful. I found the "halo-ish" effect off of his right side (arm, shoulder and head) a little distracting. There is a design pattern on the upper right that caught my eye and made me wonder whether it was a metaphor of the judge fitting the pieces of the story together to render a solid decision. For me, it would be fascinating to see less of the effect on his eye area. But that's probably because I long for connection and you purposely wanted the viewers to be distanced from the judge's inner experience. By the way, part of my background was in investigations that's why I was probably drawn to this work. Thanks for posting your work.

Thanks for pointing the hand out Valerie! It was the reflection of the shiny dress the taller model was wearing. I could have cleaned it up. Man, I missed so many things and would have probably kept on missing them if I didn't get the feedbacks that I needed. I actually didn't create a title for the image because it was one picture from an event I shot at my girlfriend's salon. She had out of town guests and models to show off their new hair color line. The models had their hair colored with the products. |

Thanks so much, Susan. You're right, I didn't notice that until you pointed it out! Great to have an "outside" perspective. My goal is to grow as an artist. |

Beautiful mosaic of colors, it would have been cool to see the actual scene before it was transformed too. France has many fond memories for me, how lucky you were to bear witness to nature's show of colors in France. |

Love the Black & White version and use of grain gives the image a historical feel. |

Cool story. The image totally works! I love the textures, colors, edges and triangle shapes. The silhouette reminds me of Benjamin Franklin. |

Love this and the edit. The image has movement and tells a story. Ouch, on your lens being stolen. I'm a Nikon shooter and have too much invested to make the switch to Sony but I have been loving what I'm seeing with Sony and I believe they are leading technology. Looking forward to seeing what you post next month!
