Thanks so much for your comments, I agree. I'll make some changes. She was in a wedding venue, the colors were pretty much muted, except for the flowers. |

Nice picture. I'm a fan of reflections, it definitely adds interest to the scene. I'd really love to see the original picture. I'm wondering whether the scene captured from another angle might have evoked more of what you were feeling, especially when you were talking about the "juxtaposition of wild visual movement of the flags against the silence of their cloth in the wind". I didn't get that by looking at this photo. Also, I wasn't sure whether to focus my attention. A couple of ideas are to get just the grass and reflection if there was an area in the water where the flags were more prominent. The other idea is to reduce the depth of field by focusing on one flag or small flag group that was/were waving as described and throw the rest of the scene out of focus (don't know whether that's possible on an iPhone though). |

I love the golden hues here! I've done the horizontal lens motion blur, but this is cool to do it vertically. The bottom half of this image almost has a water reflection-like feel to it. I'm wondering what this picture would look like with a reduced opacity second layer with the blossoming cherry trees and possible light vignetting? |

Boy, that looks authentic and what a lovely child! Aren't backlit subjects the best, great work here. I love the overall softness of this image and the sepia-like tones of the image. The image flows well and the backlight effect on her hair and the basket brings my focus to her face. Very nice! |

What fun, I love the muted colors and ethereal feel to this image! My eye is drawn to the back of her left leg though. The sand is close in color to her leg and for me, it was a little distracting. It made me wonder what was going on there. I love the Sony camera. I had already invested in a couple of Nikons and some lenses, otherwise I would have switched. I'm thinking the technology is there with the Sony brand. |

Love this. I see a small catch light in the visible eye, I think you'll really like it if you make the catch light brighter. Maybe sample from the skin for the catch light, you don't want it too bright. Try pulling back on the contrast a little and bring up the shadows a little, then see what you think. I'd like to see more of the outline of the hat to separate it from the background. |
