45 Aug 19 Reply Sorry about the knees, Ray. I'll try brightening up the bottom. Aug 7th
45 Aug 19 Comment Great doorway, Cindy. I love photographing all doors. I like the detail in the door, wall and street stone. I think the colors in the three main areas work well together; door, wall and street. My eye can roam around with great interest! Aug 7th
45 Aug 19 Comment Nice waterfall setting. I think you did a good job with the shutter speed to blur the water. Aug 7th
45 Aug 19 Comment I like this flower Charlie. I think the lighting, color and focus are great on the main flower. With the bud out of focus, I would remove it in Photoshop. You might try turning this into a vertical or portrait image with the bud removed, cropping in from the left. Great image. Aug 7th
45 Aug 19 Comment I really like this image of the stairs. My eye follows so many lines; vertical, horizontal and diagonal. For me, the image seems to be divided into two halves along the stairway; the lower is darker in shadow and the upper brighter. Aug 7th
45 Aug 19 Comment I like how you have handled the armor on your "warrior", it has great color, sharpness and exposure. I like the idea of the blurred opponent to the right. I think I would have tried to retain more of its shape and substance. Aug 7th
45 Aug 19 Comment Great sunset scene. I like the color, in the clouds and reflection, and detail in the clouds. The fog around the island adds some mystery for me. Aug 7th
45 Aug 19 Comment Thanks, Don! The focal length was about 80mm (35mm). Normally, I try to use f/8 for the sharpest image. But with the depth of the image, from the trees to the mountains, I think I was finding f/8 and f/11 were a little soft in the mountains. This lens, 18-135mm, I think is not the best for sharpness, although it has image stabilization. So it is always my handheld lens of choice for hiking or travel. Fuji XT bodies do not have image stabilization and the sharper landscape lens is the 16-55mm (24-80mm, 35mm eq) and these lenses never have IS. Aug 5th
