Hi Israel,
I do hope that you and your family are safe. I love this composition. Shadow and light is what makes for a wonderful monochrome image. You might consider the crop that Emil suggests because it removes the distracting window on the left and helps focus the eye on the model. |

Hi Bob,
This type of shot--through a window--is what my husband calls a "Bunny Shot" because I take a lot of these. It provides a way to appreciate the texture and shape of the foreground while imagining what it might have been like to live there and gaze out the window. You could create more separation following Emil's suggestions, but the image also works well as it is. Great job! |

Hi Emil,
WOW! Fabulous image. What can I say? Nothing because it seems perfect as it is. You did a fantastic job isolating the Lillies.

Hi Pete,
I love both the color and monochrome versions. The composition captures the layers of the landscape quite well, with the almost-touchable textures of the trees, the ethereal misty mountains, and finally the wispy clouds in the sky. I enjoy the hint of the sun with the light entering the scene from the right. To my eye, the image is ready for hanging on the wall. This is something I could look at many times.

Hi Pete,
I appreciate your opinion. Sometimes I enjoy the simplicity of a pattern. Yet I understand this is not for every one.

Thanks Emil. I thought about that, but that's Big Brother watching, so I decided to keep it in. I'll certainly consider making another version with it taken out. |
