I took two back-to-back small ship cruises with Adventure Canada. One was called Atlantic Canada and the other was Circumnavigating Newfoundland. This was late June, early July. Its a great company.
I made a 9m30sec video for my family that is unlisted on Vimeo, but accessible from the link below. In it, you will find maps of the intended and actual stops. The maps are at the beginning and end, so you can pause the video and take a screenshot. Each section of the video lists the location.

I enjoyed these itineraries and also the Out of the Northwest Passage trip, which I took in 2019.

Hi Lance. Thank you for taking the time to look at my image and provide feedback. I really appreciate it. I learned that Atlantic Canada is one part of the world that has weather! And ever changing at that. I was drawn by the dramatic difference in each half of the sky. |

Thanks for the suggestion Emil and the details. I actually have other photos from this place with clouds. It was a windy day, so they kept changing. I should be able to take one of the other skies and use sky replacement. |

LOL! Male anatomy is in the eye of the beholder! I do like making things a bit askew. I had a similarly titled bottle/seed head arrangement awhile back with another group and sure enough, someone pointed out the resemblance, which is not what I intended. With your comment, I am thinking of making a group of six images with similarly tilted objects and submitting it to my local camera club's "Sixes" subgroup. |

Hi Israel, This is a very dramatic, documentary image. Your BW conversion is very good, but I agree with Pete and Mark that the man gets lost. You might consider keeping the man in color so that we can see the stark conditions under which he is working. It might help to tell the story. What do you think? |

Hi LuAnn, Wonderful image and pose. The model is terrific. I really like the texture of the carnival wagon. While I am curious to see more of the inside, I suggest darkening the inside a bit to make the model stand out more. Just an idea. Similar to many in our group, I just had to play with your image. Background darkened a bit, wagon texture increased, and bright triangle burned a bit. |

Hi Mark, I love the minimalism. When I first looked at this image, I thought it was a bucket edge with perhaps sponges next to it. Only after reading your description did I realize that is it an interesting staircase! I love the lighting.
Making the background black adds a lot of drama. I do like the texture in the stairs that I see in the "original." You might consider adding some of that back, similar to what Pete suggests. |

Hi Emil, Great choice to convert to monochrome. The landscape looks much more dramatic. Well done! I like that the walkway shows because It emphasized the height of the mountain. The layers are amazing. |

Hi Pete, Interesting image. I like how the stigma are backlit so they have a halo. I also find the shadow quite interesting as it looks like a creature. This is one of those images that looks good in other orientations, too!
You achieved your goal of getting the tip of the stigmata sharp. What Mark is suggesting--to have more depth of field--would give a different look that might be fun to experiment with. I've used Helicon Focus, but only with a tripod. Flower photography seems ideal for a tripod.

Hi Pete, I think you are correct that a bit more space on the left would have been good. I should have pulled the zoom back a bit. I do have more images of this lighthouse, so perhaps I'll pull out another to work with and make sure there is more room to the left. |

Thanks for the suggestions Mark. Flipping horizontally just puts the darker part of the sky on the left. I think you might be suggesting to flip the sky and not the lighthouse, so that the dark part is at the bottom left. When things get that complex in post, I realize I needed to take a different angle at the site. I have many more photos of this lighthouse. Perhaps I'll revisit them. |
