Thanks for your insight Bob. Our local JCC is hosting a photo exhibit with our local camera club (online, of course). They chose to interview me for a few minutes so I can explain the context. I am grateful for that! |

Thank you for the suggestion LuAnn. I'll try that with the highlights. We were all sitting in a semi-open pavilion. As it sometimes happens with candid shots, the children were half in the shade and half in the bright sun. I'll see what I can do. |

Thanks for your kind words Emil. I had to warp the background as a necessity to make the skulls appear in a reasonable space. |

Thanks for sharing your memories Oliver! It is wonderful that children do seem to find joy in life, no matter what. We need to keep some of that ability as we get older. |

What a peaceful scene. It was worth the drive. I agree with LuAnn that someone on the bridge would offer a focus point for the viewer. Emil's flip really makes your image pop. I'm not sure if that's because I read left to right, but it is extraordinary how my eye naturally travels from the water to the bridge. |

I love the softness of the waterfall. Great job capturing it. It's as if I am standing in the water!
I suggest that you lighten the areas to the side of the water a bit. There are some interesting details in rock that I would like to appreciate. |

WOW! You took a blah image and made it quite dramatic. I like the way the arch balances the buildings, the varied and interesting clouds, and the details that you brought out in the buildings and the bridgework. In the original, my eye was drawn to the reflections in the water, but now those same reflections are better integrated with the entire image and add to the drama. Great job! |

Wonderful job on the lighting and the way you arranged the garlic. I am enjoying the reflection in the wood. I can't suggest anything more. It is a great image, and you used all the post processing tools to get the most from the image. I agree with Emil--Frame it! |

What really captivates me about this scene is the framing of the arch. I feel as if I am looking into another world. What a great idea to remove the woman; you a good job deleting her. The sky, to me, looks magical. It complements but does not overpower, so I think that you achieved your goal. The lighting on the right side and then the splotches of life on the cobbled streets bring life to the image.
I have not yet tried Silver Effects Pro, but your results make me want to try it out.
Great job! |
