You did an amazing job of toning down the bright spot and then balancing the composition by adding to the left. Squirrels can be such terrific posers, and you managed to capture a good one. |

To me, this image is all about the girl's expression. You captured it perfectly. I like the light on her face.
As Kathleen pointed out, as a photojournalism image, this tells the story and needs no more editing. But if that's not your purpose, I think Terry's suggestions would help to put the focus only on the girl. |

I love the action in this photo, especially the flying hat. Great "erasure" work and color enhancement.
To my eye, the image looks as if it needs just a bit of straightening. I also agree that a tighter crop would remove some distractions and help me to focus more on the horse and rider. |

I love the stylized look of this image. It reminds me of a pen and ink drawing. The pose of the birds is terrific.
I agree with Joan in that I would like to see the entire reflection for each egret in the photo. (Not sure what you'd do with that pesky duck!) You might also consider softening the water so that the stylized birds "pop" even more.

When I first looked at this, it reminded me of a watery piano! It is indeed a "musical" image in that I like the soft flow, the contrasting between the water and the dam, and the angle of the Ines. Great job. |

Wonderful photo. I like the active pose of the bird and the detail. To my eye, the crop looks good as blurred background sets the context for the bird. All that green makes me feel as if the bird is in a wild place. Also, because the bird is looking at something to the right, I think the space helps me to imagine what might be there. |

When I first look at this image, I am struck by the subdued colors. I think they contribute to the peaceful and innocent feeling of this scene. I like that the girls seem to be totally unaware of the camera and are 100% engaged in each other. Great job capturing their pose!
Although I like the B&W version, I prefer the color version. Both the color palette and the context of the color version communicate, to me, more of a story. |

You had me fooled! At first glance, I did think this was an image of organ pipes. I like the way you combined the music with the theater photo. I think the angle of the music is pleasing. For me, the change in color is effective.
The bright areas on the right are a bit distracting and might benefit on being toned down. All in all, a great idea and I'd love to see a future version.

Wow! When I first viewed your image, I was reminded of a recent trip to NYC, standing at the bottom of one of the new skyscrapers at Hudson Yard. I felt so small.
I love this image as, to my eye, it portrays the majesty of skyscrapers quite well. It has a very ethereal quality about it. The perspective warping makes the building seems taller than it is. Great choice to use B&W, as I feel it helps to focus my eye on the verticality of the building.

To me, this image is about intersecting lines: the verticals of the lamp posts and hanging moss and the horizontal moss-covered tree limbs. I like the effect of the lilac wash, which gives a better contrast between the hanging moss and the tree limbs.
To my eye, the composition is a bit busy and (as Witta points out) could perhaps be simplified. You might consider cropping the left side and top so that the tallest lamp post features more prominently. Then, if you want to bring out the intersecting lines, you could darken the lamp posts. |

This image went through a metamorphosis while I was out of town (and not on Internet). I love version 2. The curve of the blossoms, the beautiful color, and the detail in the flowers pop so much more on the new background. Very nice! |

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll try it! I haven't used NIK yet, but it looks good. I always welcome a chance to try some new plug-ins. BTW, those "jacks" are anchors. |
