This image brings back wonderful memories of my visits to Mesa Verde!
To my eye, this image could be a bit sharper. I think the interesting part of Mesa Verde is the cliff dwelling, so I would like to see more detail there, especially on the right side which is in shadows. I am wondering if the sun hits lower at other times of the day. |

Great photo with a chilling story. For me, the post processing works well.

I like it! Very good portrait. I like how you kept the color to communicate his colorful personality. |

When I first look at this image, I am drawn to the beautiful reflection in the pool, which you captured nicely.
For me, the yellow filter isn't effective because it is an unusual color for a US state capitol building. From my perspective, the yellow gives the impression of a European building or a hotel. Overall the image seems overly sharpened. I prefer the softness of the water in the original image which I think is quite good. For my taste, the image is cropped a bit too much at the top and loses some of the lovely line and ornamentation that's in the original image. |

What I like about this image is that the black background serves to put my attention on the beauty of the flowers. For me, the increase in the saturation and luminance is effective, and not overdone. I think the lighting is great. In my opinion, the side view of this flower cluster makes an interesting composition. Well done! |

What a great image! How did you get the bird to look at you? I think flipping and cropping improved the image, although I am interested to see what others think about the direction given last month's comments on direction of movement!
In my opinion, I prefer the blue sky. I think the blue complements the gold in the osprey's eyes and might help the bird stand out even more, especially the penetrating look in those eyes. |
