I love the title of the image, but oh I am so crying out for some separation between these iconic landmarks. Icarus blocks the beauty of the building and i wonder if there was another angle you could have shot from that would still capture the essence of the two without any overlap
I also wonder about a conversion to mono so we can really study the shape and form of the two without the colour distractions |

When studying the landscape the most important factor is the light, the drama in the weather and then the composition.
The light falls completely on the lovely hill on the right hand side, whereas the sides of the other hills are almost completely hidden by the trees
I think I may have gone for a very daring portrait orientation of this landscape and lost the majority of the foreground and at least 50 per cent of the left hand side. That is my preference but you may of course disagree :) |

Ooh a black bird on a bright background, and you overcame/ solved the problem well.
Its my personal preference to see a little motion blur in the wing tips of a bird in flight, thus removing the illusion that its a static bird on a piece of string hanging from the sky and clouds, so i would suggest a slower shutter speed... 1/4000 is the sort of speed I would use for diving kingfishers 1/1600 should be enough to give you a sharp shot (head and eye) with a little bit of motion blur in the wing tips.
For birds in flight I always say practise when its not important eg gulls on the local lake, just to hone the technique |

I like the conversion of the colour to mono but you have pushed the limits of the sky and ave created some haling affects around the roof line. I find the hedge a bit of a barrier to really look into the image and i feel it gets in the way of the scene
I would liked to have seen a composition that included elements of the two barns together, almost as a compare and contrast exercise |

I wonder almost if there is too much in this image. I am drawn to the man, the shoes and the bright points in the sky and I find my eyes wandering around the image. I wonder if the man was removed, would this image have more impact. I feel the storytelling of the image of the beach and lone shoes is more thought provoking and leaves you with more questions than answers...which I like to do |
