I can see why you were drawn to the take this shot, the light is perfect
I might be tempted to darken the rocks just a little. They are as bright as the sheds and do draw my eye
The monochrome sky does look a little out of place.. I wonder if there is a compromise between the monochrome and the light blue sky? Possible a darker blue? |

This is a very tranquil and calm image and I think you have achieved your objectives in your post processing.
For me the fallen tree does provide a bit of a barrier of getting into the image (this is subjective and personal taste)
I want to see the full flow of the falls and I hope you have an image taken the other side of the fallen tree looking away from it |

I like the fact you have managed to retain both the heron and reflection
You have said yourself that the birds are always at the far end of the lake (I say this is a reason to revisit often if you can)
The closer shot will lift this image giving it detail in the feathers, body and head
You can also research where you might find a blue heron closer to home to give you the opportunity to capture one that doesn't choose to stand as far away as possible from you |

A beautifully sharp and intense image. His eye is perfectly placed within the frame and I am enjoying the subtly of the muted tones in the colours of the scales
Totally out of your control but an added bonus would have been to see a flicker of the tongue |

I like the idea of what you have set out to achieve and yes this image portrays a lot of fun and excitement
You have multiple images of this little girl, I do wonder if you have chosen the best one to edit. I think I would have preferred to see one of her looking at you/the camera and i think that will give us (the viewer) a greater connection with the story
The suds on the right hand side of the image as you look at it just above the little girls hand do look a little strange and may need a little work in post to make them less visible |
