Although the original gives more of a story, I think your crop and angle here are more interesting. I am not sure about the purple lines, but without them, the glass is just floating, and they do give a bit of an abstract vibe to the image. I like Chuck's suggestion of stirring the seltzer a bit before taking the shot. More bubbles would have added a little more interest. |

Natural light is always the best. I think it is a great subject. I appreciate seeing the entire machine, but you might want to try cropping in certain areas and really focus on the different lines and textures. |

I don't think you cropped in too much either. You really captured the smoothness of the tomatoes. I can almost feel their skin. I can picture this blown up and hanging in someone's kitchen! |

Great capture! I think the bug is really the focus. As suggested, you could macro it up and get close, but I also like your crop. I feel as if it shows the vastness of the world that this little bug exists in. I also like the color enhancement you created in the background. It sets the colors of the bug off well. |

I love light painting as well! I think this was a great subject to play around with. I love the texture you captured on the top of the camera. I also like the reflection. It helps make the camera feel like it is not floating. |

I love how you captured the texture's contrast with the rusty hinge against the grain of the wood door. As for the straightening debate ;), I think there is an argument for both. As is, it feels like you are leaning, but that also adds to the charm of the image. |
