I like this and I think the umbrellas work here. It doesn't feel like it is a composite image. Good job. |

I prefer the black and white version as well. Definitely gives you that feel you were describing. I was also thinking of trying to crop out some of the tree, but maybe playing with the contrast a little would be better. |

Love the composition of this. I can see where you removed the grass from his face, because it is just a touch blurry there, but overall I think it is a great image. I love going through my old photos as well. |

Great scene. I love the colors, although the storm looks more like a dust storm than a rain storm. I assume the brownish color is reflected light. |

Love the leading lines as well. I agree with Jody, it would be nice to brighten up the building a little because it looks so interesting I would want to know what my eye is leading up to. It is not too orange for me. I like it because I think it just enhances the time of day. Where is this pier? |

Nice photo and scene. I agree with cropping out the little purple car. I think it distracts from the overall image. I love the story here as well and how it isn't necessary to get a picture of everyone's face to tell it. She looks like she is having a great time, and I would love to know what she is saying. You cold through this out there and have people caption it! |

Very nice image. I also love shooting old stuff...tools, sinks, etc. I agree that monochrome was the way to go. I am wondering if you added a little clarity/sharpening if that would make some of the texture come out a little more? Give it a more vintage feel. |

Very nice image. I like your composition and the bright color you captured on the flowers. The background is little dark, but I at the moment it does contrast well with the bright flowers. So, I am not sure what would happen if you lightened it up. It may not make as big an impact . |

Great capture. I like the composition and those lines you captured are perfect. They really enhance the shape of the petals of the flower. I think you got the perfect amount of background blur as well. You can still get a feel for the stem the flowers are on, so they aren't floating. |

I think this is a great shot! The left eye being slightly out of focus is only bothering you. Unless you are right on top of it, you can't really tell. I think the crop works and you really focus on her. And why is she crying?!!! |

I love the raindrops you captured. Nice composition, but it feels a little flat to me. Not sure if that is because it is in black and white, but I would try to add little more contrast to the image. |

I love the colors in this orchid and the composition you chose. I would crop in from the left and remove some of the background. It feels like the flower is floating and has no context. |
