30 Aug 21 Comment Great image! I wouldn't crop and I am also wondering if this was the exact scene as you saw it or did you add elements to it? Were the birds flying there and the other person sitting facing away from the light house? I like the moodiness of the image as well. Aug 16th
30 Aug 21 Comment Your composition is way more interesting than the original. I would try to sharpen the flowers a little more to give them a little more depth. Maybe pump of the saturation a touch as well. Aug 16th
30 Aug 21 Comment I like the diagonal composition (where the lines are diagonal). I would try to sharpen the image a little more because to see it feels very flat, but sharpening may bring out more of that rust texture. I live the teal in the lower right, so I would also crop in and leave that lower right section but crop off some of the upper left hand corner. Aug 16th
30 Aug 21 Comment Nice image. I love the bright colors. I would have "rearranged" the furniture a touch. I would have pulled in the chairs closer to the table, so you could capture them and not capture the cover of the bbq on the left. It is uninteresting. Aug 16th
30 Aug 21 Comment I think the composition is great. I would like to see it lighter slightly in the center where the bee is and the focus of the image. For me it feels a little fuzzy. I also shot some bees recently hanging around sunflowers (image posted in my other PDD group), I was successful in getting the bee in focus, but the flower, not so much. It is hard when they are moving! Aug 16th
30 Aug 21 Comment Great image, and I love the black and white. I think with those great shadows from the window. It is far more interesting this way, than in color. I also love that they are the only people in the place. Your textures/filter does give a vintage feel, even though it isn't vintage, but it definitely sets the mood. Aug 16th

57 Aug 21 Comment I love the perspective of this shot. I am not sure if it is an optical illusion because of the perspective, but it feels like the entire image slants don to the right a little, especially with the leaning sign. But if you look along the top of the image, the shadow is not parallel to the edge of the image. I wold try fixing that. Otherwise, I love it! Aug 16th
57 Aug 21 Comment I love how the light is reflecting on the red of the poppy. I agree with Cindy, it is a great contrast to the background. Also, Kathleen Clemons is really good. I look at her work and have taken some of her online workshops. Aug 16th
57 Aug 21 Comment I love subjects like this. I like your background, and the way it implies movement. I think it lends a nice touch to the shapes of the mushroom. You did a good job of getting the mushroom in focus, especially since the colors are often not that exciting. I often feel like the mushroom looks cooler in person and I personally have a hard time conveying that through my camera. If anything, you could try to just sharpen the mushroom up a bit more. Stuart's crop suggestion is also good. Aug 16th
57 Aug 21 Comment It is a little busy. I like the bright, cheerful color palette though. I know your friend wanted to display all the ingredients, but it is a little heavy on the green. I would want to crop off on the other side of the cherries. I think that would balance with the very heavy green on the left. Maybe it would have worked better of this green leaves on the rights were interspersed with the group on the left? Aug 16th
57 Aug 21 Comment I have never shot in infrared, only tried doing it in post processing, so I love the experimentation here. I think the composition works well and the butterfly is nicely in focus while the flower is much softer. I would have loved to see it in color too, but I guess that would be a different camera!! 57 Aug 21 Comment I really like the contrast of textures and colors in this image. I too like rusty old stuff. Did you amp up the color at all?
