Nice image. I like the format of the composition and how it is not a "typical" sized picture. It adds to the image. Great details in the engine. My only though is maybe lighten it up a bit. I realize the what side the sun was on, though. |

First, welcome to the group Jody! This is a really interesting image. Composition is great and I definitely like the lighter beads. Great background blur. I could;dn't really tell what it was until I read your title. I thought a shell or some kind of animal horn, but I like how you have the beads spilling out of it. I also like the contrast of textures of the shell with very distinct lines contrasting against the softer shapes of the beads. |

I agree with Leonid. For me, I think the crop of the scene throws me off a bit. I would like to see more stem from where the flowers were hanging. I am curious, is this a flowering tree? Also, I would have loved to see the original. What did you clone out? I feel like I can tell where some of those cloned out areas are and I am wondering how distracting what was originally there really was. |

I always love flowers on a black background. The colors truly pop in that way. I think you did a great job. I like the composition. I am not sure about that odd dark leaf in the lower left. I would try to get rid of that if possible. I think you the detail you capture on the petals is fabulous as well. |

I like this image. I think it is framed nicely with the trees on either side and the bird flying in from the top. I'm not sure what is going at the horizon of where the water meets the sky. Some kind of Factory? I would consider getting rid of that. It is very subtle but if it is a factory, who wants that in their pretty sunrise scene? |

I like the composition of how the flower is in the scene. I think the blue background doesn't work. It is creating a distracting halo around the bottom of the flower. I am also not loving the out of focus areas. It's not that the flower needs to be in complete focus, but what is and isn't in focus seems random, not deliberate. It's hard to determine where the focal point is. |

I like the sky and if there is no horizon, maybe it is because the train is running along the side of a cliff and all you can see is sky? It is a fun composite, although the train is a bit "noisy" compared to the sky. |

This is a Cicada. Great capture. We have a ton of these in my area and I hear them chirping all the time. I have yet to find one shedding, but I have been buzzed by them flying around. I think this is great and a little creepy. I have found just their shells stuck to something. The composition works and you have a lot of clarity on the wings too. |

Love the fun abstract quality of this image. Did you hold the pen light in one position or where you "light painting" with it? I love the vibrant colors as well. Always great to try something new. |

I agree with everyone. I think this is great image. I love the post processing you did with the flower. It has a very painterly quality and it allows the focus to be on the Bee. The Bee is really crisp. Moving the Bee around also enhances the overall composition. |

Beautiful capture. I like the contrast between the black and white butterfly and the colors of the garden around it. Overall, it feels dark to me. Butterflies are so light and airy. I would pull back on the vignette a little. Either lighten up the whole area or just make less vignette. |
