I am always amazed when someone can get a great night shot. How did you get? No special lighting? I agree with the tilt and love the colors.

I have to say, I don't like the black and white version. It is a fun shot and I think what keeps it interesting is the contrast of colors, the green grass agains the blueish hue of the shadow. B&W flattens it and makes it less interesting. Looking for ward to seeing what else you shot. |

I like the crop and your decision to reverse the image. I think that works much better. I think you got great focus on the leaf and I live the piece of stem (?) the is ing down and away. It ads a little whimsy to the image. |

It has great leading lines and although the blue chairs are there and make a fun contrast, I don't feel as if they are the focus of the image. I like the subject (being a boat person) and just like how everything is all stacked up. I appreciate Dorinda's suggestion of increasing the saturation of the deck, but I don't like how it effects the color tone over the rest of the image. If you can mask it so just the deck gets saturated, then I think it would work.

I like the POV however I think the most interesting part of the flower is out of focus. whenever I shoot macro shots, I like the entire center of the flower to be in focus (or at least 95% of it). That is hard to achieve hand held.

I like the picture and the movement of the grass. I like your crop as opposed to the original however, I would move her off center even more. I think I would have liked to seen the composition be more grass around and her smaller to show the vastness of the grass.

I love the composition and think slanting the image was definitely the way to go. I agree with Cindy on the noise issue and Mary's suggestions about using a tripod. I think that may help with the clarity issue because I think it would be an amazing image of the snail felt a little more in focus.

Great capture! The clarity is amazing. Is that the natural blur on the background, or did you enhance the blur with software? You must be very patient to get them to stay long enough for the shot, and amazing that it is hand held and so clear.

I really love the infra red version.
Curious if you find that having the function turned on in the camera works better than converting to infra red in photoshop?
I like the crop and I think the technique makes it a more interesting photo.

I love shooting water lilies, and I think this is a great shot. I think the clarity and focus are perfect. I wish the flower itself were a little brighter. I also love the of the leaves as well. The composition is perfect and the way the subject is arranged is great. |
