47 Jun 20 Comment Jen, The framing of your subject, the houses, works very well and it draws me in and makes me feel like I am there. There is a nice tone range of blacks and whites and I like how I can sense the textures of this park of London. I might consider cloning out the antenna that hits the bridge. Thanks for sharing this one. Jun 21st
47 Jun 20 Comment Albert,
Very interesting image that makes me wonder about these people in the jungles of New Guinea. I like the toning of this image as it works to complement the bye gone area this image brings to my mind. It looks to me that they were looking at another tourist taking their picture and this decreases my sense of engagement with them slightly. What stands out to me is that the mother's arms appear whiter than what I would expect. Thanks for sharing.

47 Jun 20 Comment Don, This scene has a good composition with the position of the lighthouse slightly off center and balanced with the sailboat. The clouds work very well as a type of vignette and the opening in the clouds add an emotional element for me. Very good tonal range for a BW. I did notice that the sailboat was not as sharp as I expected and this is probably due to the low shutter speed and the fact that the sailboat was probably moving quite fast. Still, a nice image and the frame works too. Thanks for sharing it. Jun 21st
47 Jun 20 Comment Adrian, This is a good capture of this squirrel and well exposed so that all his fur stands out without being over exposed. You also captured his personality in that he seemed to be very comfortable with you even though he was busy feeding. For me I tend to like the colored version as red squirrels are more exotic to me while the monochrome makes the squirrel similar to all the squirrels I normally see. Thanks for sharing. Jun 21st
47 Jun 20 Comment Ed, You captured an interesting perspective of this pipe organ. I might have guessed it was, but would not have been sure if it was not for your description. In that sense, your image makes the viewer stop and think. For me, its hard to know where exactly my eye should land as far as an interest point. I tend to go to the bright area in the bottom of the image although there is not too much interest there. Maybe darkening this down to keep the viewer exploring more in the center of the image? Thanks for sharing Jun 21st
47 Jun 20 Comment Jack,
This is a nicely balanced composition with each dune having a different texture and pattern in the sand. I like how the third due stands out in the sun and that the curves of this dune lead to a point positioned by the rule of thirds. Excellent choice for a monochrome and very good exposure and development in my opinion. Thanks for sharing this one.
