Albert,
I like the mood that you created with this image and there is a lot that attracts my attention: the moonlight on the water shows the detail of the water, the silhouetted coast adds mystery and the sky filled with an interesting cloud pattern with the moon high in the sky adds drama. I do see evidence of the high ISO which for me does distract a little. I think using a denoise program and a sharpening program (I use Topaz AI-denoise and AI sharpen) could increase the sharpness and reduce the noise if that is what you want. Thanks for showing this to us. Happy Holidays!

Don,
This is a great shot of the old truck and the misty-layered background of mist and trees really add to the mysterious mood that you created. I also like the contrast between the sharp foreground and truck with the misty background. My only suggestion is to remove the large weed stalk in the center that overlaps the front fender which I found distracting. Thanks for sharing this one.

Adrian, I like the tranquility of this scene with the freshly fallen snow and the subtle greys in the background really help to emphasize the white trees in the foreground. The bending tree is nicely exposed and having the dark bark come through adds some nice contrast to this scene. I like the flip that you did although I think it would work well un-flipped. My only suggestion is that I would keep the tops of the trees as the way they bend under the snow adds to the feeling of a heavy snow fall. Very nice image, thanks for sharing it. |

Ed, I like this composition as to me it looks perfectly balanced with the large tree in the foreground vs the smaller tree, horses and clouds on the opposite side. The curved horizon draws my eye to the lowest point in the image which is near the center so that works well in my opinion. The grazing horses add a sense of calmness and the frame emphasizes the artistic aspect of this landscape. I did notice the pixilation which is a little distracting, maybe a denoise program would help. You captured a nice moment, thanks for sharing it. |

Jack,
I think this works well as a monochrome and the attention of the boy looking out of the image immediately captures my attention. It was nice you were able to get some catchlight in his eyes. For me I wish there were more detail in the hair of the boy and the other youngsters, it is coming across as quite black. Its too bad the young girl is not looking up as well; these are difficult shots to take especially if you can't engage with them to get their attention due to language differences. Still, a good try; thanks for sharing it.

Jen, I also like repeating pattens and this street shows that nicely. I notice the diagonal angle leads me from the front house down the row of houses and I find myself comparing them to see what is the same and what is different thereby keeping my attention. This works well as a monochrome and it is good that there is a cloudy sky that still shows some details. Nice job. |
