This is a wonderful photo! It is sharp, clear and the details are very vivid (I have never before been aware of the brown patch around the eyes). For me, the background is out of focus just enough too not be distracting but clear enough that I have an idea of the location details. I also like that it is just part of the bird! |

I love kingfishers and this one is beautiful! For me, the focus is precise and sets that bird off and the background is sufficiently out of focus to keep my eyes on the bird. The lighting is incredible and I can see every jewel tone distinctly. |

Love your photo! My mind keeps trying to figure out where you were to get this shot. Were you on the other side of the river? The focus is very sharp and crisp for both the animal and the reflection. My eyes are pulled right to the animal and then the reflection.
My eyes would like less depth of field so that it is easier to focus on the animal. For me the animal does not look quite real I don't know what it is but it appears not real. |
