Luckky it's a zebra and not a donkey or Ed have had even more fun in commenting on the aspect of the animal. |

Ed's version has the virtue of being sharp without the minor halo that is visible in your image between the tops of the buildings and the sky. The fact that a narrow halo is visible in your image is probably mainly due to the image displaying in my system as though the image is about 36 inches wide. In an 8 x 10, the halo would be invisible. This issue illustrates a general problem in processing images. That is, for the most "faithful" representation, the actual conditions under which the image will be viewed are important and must be adjusted for. In this case, had you known that I'd be seeing the image as 36 inches across, you would have seen the halo and made adjustments so it wouldn't show. |

I particularly like that fact that this time it is clearly steam coming out of the steam dome and smoke coming out of the smokestack. |

Haven't tripods been in use since the dawn of photography? I'm neutral about the value of people in your image. I think you need them if you want viewers to see that the train is passing a rail road crossing. If you don't care about this, you can remove the people and the stop sign. |

Landscape orientation might, indeed, have been better. I was thinking that landscape mode would have included most of the two trees whose branches I did use to frame this picture, and I felt that their trunks would intrude on the scene. Perhaps, however, the top qurter of this image could be cropped. In that case though, the image would have been nearly square, which just doesn't feel right to me for this scene. Here is a multi-shot panorama including another building of the school. |

I like the entire scene and the colors. You also have a wonderful image-in-the-image of the worman and the dog in the first boat. Possibly you can crop and remove some elements to show this image. |

Very nice processing of the vegetation. The overall feel is one of calmness. |

I like this with a little more brightness. I'd like it more if the water were more realistic. Maybe try significantly reducing
the horizontal smearing of the water. |

Retaining the people helps define the crossing. I like this more than last month's image because the image is self-consistent. |

I like the effect of using a fisheye lens. I like B&W to be quite contrasty, as shown in my reworking. |
