What an interesting action photo. Combining the two photos seems to have worked well. I also like the shot with just the two boys since all the action is directed at the ball, for me it provides a third major subject. Since I'm in the "take a good picture" camp rather than the "make a good picture" camp, I looked for flaws in your joining of the two shots, but found none. |

I like the orange, red, and blue color combination. I'd like the image more if it were more clear that the structure is an observation deck. That could also make more clear what is important in this image. I have trouble deciding whether it is the beautiful slanting light, the structure or the city skyline. |

I agree with all the nice things mentioned above and have nothing new to add. |

Great composition. I love the feeling of depth and also the treatment in B&W.
I agree with Brenda that the image is somewhat flat for a black and white. Increasing the contrast of the midtones gives it the snap that Brenda was seeking. There remains a ghost of the man who was (is) leaning against the "G" pillar on the right. |

My eye was also drawn to the dramatic and high contrast floor patten. Possibly try reducing the contrast a bit of the overall image? I like the sharpness of the image and the subject. The window feels unnatural to me and I prefer the window as presented in the original although it would be nice to see a trace of the pavers on the street. |

What an wonderful shot. I don't have any real suggestions. For me, Jim's great adjustments make the image of the owl even more dramatic. However, the loss of detail in the background combined with the very unusual aspect of the owl flying directly towards the camera could leave a viewer with the mistaken concern that the owl is mounted and on display in a museum. The increased detail in the background in Brenda's verson reduces this fear. |
