42 Jan 23 Reply I quit. Jan 22nd
42 Jan 23 Comment I can't recall the details of any photos of dunks. My recollection of TV highlights of dunks is also imperfect. Still though, doesn't the ball have to be moving downward faster than the dunker? If you ever have the chance to shoot dunks again, it might be interesting to see what a little motion blur on the ball and player does to the feeling of the shot. Jan 21st
42 Jan 23 Reply I thought in a vigorous dunk, the player was almost still just after grabbing the rim, while at the same time, the ball is moving rapidly downward. Jan 15th
42 Jan 23 Reply I believe that a longer exposure time would have generated the motion blur of the ball that I'm interested in. Jan 14th
42 Jan 23 Comment I agree with the comments above except that for me, the backboard seems a bit too prominent. I would also like to have seen a bit of motion blur on the basketball. Jan 12th
42 Jan 23 Comment I like the colors and the curves, particularly the leaf above and a little to the left of the seashell leaf. I also like the background not being dead black. I'd be tempted to see how it looks with a little less contrast. Jan 12th
42 Jan 23 Comment In contrast to Bob Legg, I prefer the sides and grill as they are rather than rectilinear. I like the image when it is small as the indistinct outside objects form a pleasing pattern. When I expand to the point where I can identify the outside objects, they lose their interest to me as they are a bit too commonplace and not so interesting individually. Jan 12th
42 Jan 23 Reply Interesting idea. Generally I favor minimizing alterations to a photo so I have no experience in such modifications. I'd be interested to see what you can do with my image. Jan 12th
42 Jan 23 Reply Thank you. A large print on matte paper looks very nice and people say it looks like a painting.
This was a rather hurried focus stack and I didn't have the time or energy to play around much and shoot from different angles. I'll see if I can convinciningly lighten the pot a bit.

42 Jan 23 Comment No, the pot is ceramic and has a green glaze on the bottom 2/3. Jan 10th
42 Jan 23 Comment I like the bird's action and the light on it. I'd like it more if the background didn't attract and hold my eye. It would help me if the diagonal blurs could be removed and if the spots of light could be blurred a bit more. Jan 4th
42 Jan 23 Comment I like the unusual angle, the lighting, and the subject. I wish that the rightmost spire did not hit the leaves on the tree. I played with this image a bit, mostly by increasing local contrast on the temple. Jan 4th
