I know that odd numbers of subjects are considered to be more artistic than even numbers, and generally I like things off centered, but for this image I wonder if artistic sensibility has temporarily left me. I quite like the symmetrical four arrangement just as it is. Although not a fan of sweets myself, these do look luscious. |

The bird is nice. I also like the background as it seems to go well with the bird. There is a spot of blue near the right edge that could be removed. |

The rose itself is very nice. I'd like it more if it were a little sharper. I agree with you on the background. The electric green of the leaves to me feels unnatural, and I'd like it more if water drops or their absence were consistent between the rose and leaves. |

Very smart to reverse. It just feels more natural to me to have subjects pointed to the right rather than the left. Such beautiful colors look even nicer to me if they are a little brighter. Here I've rather crudely done that. |

How nice it is to see George from a new angle. The branches on the right increase my liking of this image because they counterbalance the hard stone. I would like this a bit more if George's halo were less prominent. |

More sharpening than I used reeks havoc on the sunbursts, at least with my image editing program. |

I agree with Michael that it is very nice. To me, the cropping is fine as it leaves room for the action. Yes, seeing the rider's face would be a plus. That is quite a list of software that you used in the processing. Often when I have an image that I almost like, I take it through a large number of transformations until I like it. After a few days of rest and thinking and a few false starts, often I find a way to produce my final image with no more than half a dozen simple transformations. |

I like the focus, colors, and sharpness, and fluidity of the water. Possibly reverse left-to-right? |

That is an interesting posture of the bird and nice colors and sharpness. I'd like to see the head and beak a little more clearly. The bird seems to be looking into the dead black space on the lower left. I wonder how the image would feel if this area were brightened a bit. |

Very nice. It looks like it wasn't easy to take this. I like the fact that the bird's wings are extended and that the angle of the branch goes nicely with the horizontal spread of the wings. My only suggestion that could increase my liking would be to ask the bird to wear more colorful plumage. |
