Certainly a subject worth sinking one's effort into. |

Very nice closeup of the bird. I agree with Jon that it feels a bit over processed as most of the objects have over sharpening halos. |

Did the storm actually have that brown tint? To me this feels like it needs something on the road, dog? cow? hiker? |

I certainly prefer the B&W version. I liked it even more after increasing the contrast. |

I like the multiple lines leading into the interestingly shaped structure. To me, it looks like the orangeness of the image has been pushed a little too far. |

Yes, it is a wonderful picture. It really resonates and tells a story. The purple car had to go. I'd like it more if there were somewhat better reconstruction of the grassy area in the upper right. |

Luminar certainly improved the hands. I wish that his shot contained enough background to provide the context for this shot. |

I very much like the sinuous shape of the hill and its reflection on the lake. I am bothered by the fact that the reflection of the hill is darker than the unreflected hill, but the reflection of the mountain and sky is not darker. |

I like the bottom half of reflections only. |

I like the colors and the composition. To me it would look nicer if there were only one bright spot on each tomato, as though there were only one light on the tomatoes. |

Yes, it is an interesting story and an interesting subject. I also like the crop as it directs my attention to the girl. |

As Stuart said, the fence creates a very nice feeling of depth. I also like the fine Autumn colors. I think I'd like it more if the sky were a little less dramatic. At present, the sky and the trees-field-fence are competing for my attention. |

I don't know why the right eye is not sharp. I've looked at all the images in the focus stack, and none are more sharp than the composite. Possibly it is just the angle at which we are seeing the eye? I reprocessed the focus stack using Helicon. It did do a better job on the edges of the eye, but the compound structure of the eye is not visible, just like the image that I posted. The cicada was about an inch and a half long and it was about 16 inches from the front of my lens. Here is the original focus stack. As you can see, what I posted is only a small fraction of the original image. |
