For me, Jody's crop feels awkward. The trunk hitting the chair seems preferable to having the trunk hit the entire left edge of the image. I was OK with the rock in the original as it seemed to add depth to the image. In Jody's crop, to me, it would be better to remove the rock altogether. |

It's a nice idea and very nice that you kept the ho-hum sunset rather than substituting something more dramatic but less authentic. I also like the composition with the palm fronds and trunk partially framing the action. I'm made just a little uneasy by the trunk's half collision with the chair, although there was probably nothing that you could do about it. |

I think that Jody's crops and toning down the empty field improved an already spectacular image. This reminds me that when I was about six, our family drove to Pullman from Billings Montana just when the wheat fields of the Palouse were a mature gold and I just loved that scenery compared to what we had been through most of the day. Your image also prompted me to look up how these fantastic rolling hills were formed.

I agree with you. It was presumptuous of me to have assumed that you wished to convey the speed of the galloping horses. Equally valid and interesting is freezing that motion as you succeeded in doing. |

The treatment of the horse is very nice. For viewing on screen, I'd like it more without the texture, as there is no obvious source for the texture. For viewing as a print, I'd like it more if the texture were everywhere, as though it was texture in the print paper. |

Your camera nicely froze the rapid action. I think I'd like the image more if you had panned the camera with the horses so that the background showed blurring in the direction of motion. If you had panned, a slower shutter speed might also have allowed the legs and hooves to be motion blurred a bit as well so that not only do you have the nice tight group of horses and riders, the image gives a feel of motion and speed. |

I like the shadows on the flower and the sharpness of the central detail. To me it would be nicer if that stem were absent and the one petal were not so bright. I don't know whether I'd like it more if it had been a focus stack so the whole flower could have been sharp. As it is, the sharpness of the center of the flower draws my eye there, and that is a good thing. |

I agree with the previous comments. A scene like this makes me wonder what kind of shot of these tractors could have been made using a drone. |

Indeed, it is a nice pose and creative photograph. I think I'd have liked it just as much without the synthetic tattoos. |

Your post processing certainly added a lot of life to the photographs. |

OK. Now I get it. Thank you. There are hotspots and pollen spots. I've removed the hotspots and I agree that this improves the image. |

It is an interesting juxtaposition of a person and a reindeer. Is this the everyday wear of the herder? The cropping was crucial to this image. |

Taking this must have been quite an adventure. The equipment too, must have been out of the ordinary. In context, this is and interesting photo. I think it would help to give this the title "Bottom of Truk Lagoon". |

The spots are on the bees as multiple shots of the same bee showed the same spots. I thought they were pollen from visits to other types of flowers and to me, it seemed natural to retain them. After the spots discussion of my image last month, it looks like I had better not photograph any leopards. |
