It looks like the camera was pointed slightly upwards in taking this shot. Consequently, the columns appear to lean inwards. When I applied the usual warp transformation to correct for this and to apply a lens distortion correction to flatten the bowed walkway at the bottom, I could correct the leans and the bowing, but then the spheres on the columns became ellipsoids. Based on my correction efforts, I agree that the column on the left is tipped a bit, but I also suspect that you cropped more from the right than the left. Finally, I also suspect that your lens introduced a fair amount of distortion on its own. |

I greatly appreciate everyone's suggestions for improvement and comments (This time they were positive, but negative comments are also welcome as they also help me develop.) |

Yes, it is snow. I am a little concerned about the height to width ratio now. While it is easy to stretch its width a bit, my memory of the current shapes is so strong that I can't objectively evaluate a wider version. |

Here it is with less on the left and more on the right, as suggested by Dorinda, and processed with considerably more care. I've spent more time on this grass than on any image in the past year. After this was taken, on three more outings I've taken perhaps twenty more shots (with exposure bracketing, perhaps 100 total) and carefully processed three. All of the newer ones included this original grass plus three others of similar shape cascading off to the right, each smaller than the preceding . In the end, my first shot feels the best to me. |

Indeed, I do see the humor and had quite a chuckle as I wrote my comment. I recall however, that my concern on one of your earlier images was just on the birds close to the top edge. |

I like this a lot. It's almost a different picture. |

This is really nice. It must be thrilling to see a sunrise like this. I removed the curvature of the horizon and leveled it and increased saturation a bit to produce this. This would be a real stunner if it contained a bird or two or a boat in the foreground. |

I agree that it needs more on the right, and for my own use, I'll add it. I've tried removing some on the left, but doing so awkwardly cuts into the leftmost blades. I suppose I could remove the two that point towards the lower left corner so I could crop as you suggest. This shot was taken a month ago. I was surprised to find, two snowstorms later that this grass is still there, and more amazingly, three more grass stalks have appeared to the right making the group of four also photogenic. |

I like the feeling of this composite. I'd like it even more if had been finished. A number of the important shadows are missing, particularly those that would be cast by the chair.
With respect to the moon: A half-moon nearly on the horizon as is depicted here, would have the terminator at about a 45 degree angle, not vertical. That is, a half-moon on the horizon has to occur near midnight or noon, and as a result, the terminator cannot be vertical. (A different way to make roughly the same point raised by Stephen.) |

I like the colors of the petals and the background and the fact that the petals are pretty sharp. I'd like it more if the stamens were in focus, perhaps at the expense of sharpness of the background. |

Because the branches are so dense, it took me a while to see what the subject was. Maybe try the same with fewer branches in the image? |

The dog is very nice as he or she is looking right into the camera. Exposure is one less thing to have to think about if you set your camera to bracket exposures. One push of the shutter release will then almost instantly take 3, 5, or 7 shots with different exposures. Later, keep the right one and delete the rest. |

This is a really appealing background scene. It would be nice to have something coming down that lane. I'd prefer that the two columns not lean inward. That should be easy to fix. |
