30 Aug 18 Comment Maybe a telephoto shot featuring mostly the dragon, or maybe the water plant and the curious green bubbles, or perhaps more of the pool, and perhaps taken from the top of the stairs? This image has interesting parts, but to me they don't join together and strengthen one another. Aug 7th
30 Aug 18 Comment I like Tom's idea. Aug 4th
30 Aug 18 Comment Providing the space between the flower and the top border has helped a lot. I'm not a fan however, of the texture in the new border and the background. Aug 3rd
30 Aug 18 Comment Yeh, I know. I need the wingtip. Fortunately I don't go in for competitions, so I'll forgo a partial limb transplant. Aug 3rd
30 Aug 18 Comment You are right, this tower and some others in Italy have perceptible tilts. Aug 2nd
30 Aug 18 Comment I like all aspects of this except for the fact that the flower at the top touches the border. A little space there would reduce the tension. Aug 1st
30 Aug 18 Comment I love dogs, and to me, this is wonderful. Here, the editing has made all the difference. In the case of a dog with its mouth open, I'd have preferred to have had both the eyes and the teeth in sharp focus. Aug 1st
30 Aug 18 Comment Ah, wonderful Venice. A person or two in the foreground would have been nice. The different tilts of the verticals in the foreground building and the tower bother me. I don't see how this can happen (except perhaps in Pisa) Where is the sun? The sky and clouds suggest one location, and the illumination of the buildings suggest another. Aug 1st
30 Aug 18 Comment The star, birds, and floats all increase my pleasure with this image, but the tilt of the horizon distracts me. Since the actual horizon most certainly is horizontal, could the tree not be vertical? Also, could the increase in the color saturation be responsible for the nearly black sky at the top. I think an orange or red filter would do this. Aug 1st
30 Aug 18 Comment This has something in the foreground, midground, and background, which helps such landscapes, and I am partial to wide angle panoramas. On the other hand, the wall and the tree compete with the storm for my attention, and the tilt of the horizon is distracting. Aug 1st
