Just a note to all. Since this is near my home, I will probably not try anything more with this image. I had right hip replacement surgery in early October and will not be doing any photo stuff until at least early December. I believe what I will do is go back there in Spring and have another go at this scene incorporating your suggestions. Thanks for the advice. |

I had not thought about B&W but will consider that for another shot at this scene. |

Richard, Good idea...I didn't take many when I captured this and will take a lot more when I go back. |

Nice image Arne. I like the cropping you did because it makes it a much better image. The vertical column is not quite vertical though and I would like to see a bit more contrast in the bridge. I have to agree with Michael & Richard that I need to slow down and "smell the roses" or see the image in our language. Well done. |

Really nice image. I like the way the clouds draw the eye from the top right to the left and then back and forth until you arrive at the foothills at the bottom. Really good color in the image with nice fog/haze in the foothills. I especially like the layered foothills at the bottom with the bright sunset just above them. The only minor thing, and this is probably a personal preference, is I would like to see a bit more detail in the upper 1/3 or so of the sky. Nicely done though. |

Larry, To paraphrase part of a country music song...."it's as close enough to perfect as could be" This is an image which would probably earn you accolades from judges. I disagree with Arne and would not try and pull out more in the dark part of the image. I think it would distract from the image. I also think the bubble at the top is right as it is fading from the bottom to the top and right to left. This image is worthy of entering in a competition. Blacks and whites and greys are great and the composition is well done. Great job. |

I will go back and look at the original image for the building issue. I see your point about the "D" sign and blue truck. Both you and Arne have given me ideas to help. Thanks |
