I'm very claustrophobic and this image gave me a very uncomfortable feeling when I first looked at it, as if I were trapped deep in a hole I couldn't climb out of. And that is a good thing. A really good photograph should elicit an emotional response from the viewer and this one did it for me. Good work. |

It's so sharp it looks as if it could blow off the screen into my office. The exposure is perfect capturing the slightly less bright tones of the reflection. Nice capture. |

Wow, that sky. And the fence running off to the horizon. The lean of the grass lends a feel for the winds of the NM high plains. Great tonality and a terrific composition. |

It has this film noir feel to it: the beautifully dressed woman walking toward a mysterious manor house. The square crop is perfect. The dark sky adds to the mystery. This is a terrific B&W image. |

Actually, it seems to me the water is absolutely necessary to provide context, identify that sense of place. The geometry is quite appealing, the way the lines start to separate and open up as your eye moves down through the image. The way the occupants have differentiated their cloned huts one from the other with window dressing is interesting. I do wonder though what is above the top level of huts. Nice capture Paul. |
