Having worked out of Bellingham for a couple of years I visited this region often and it is absolutely beautiful. You've captured the frequent mountain top clouds perfectly. I'm going with Paul's first crop though. Having that central cloud split the two peaks ads a bit of mystery to it. |

The textures and lighting on the leaves is terrific. For me the buildings are just too bright. The seem incongruous with the dark leaves. I keep looking at them instead of the field. But the buildings and horizon need to stay as the provide a nice perspective adding depth to the image. All in all, an interesting concept and a very nice photograph. |

I'll echo Larry's comments. The branch in the upper left corner should be removed as well. The tree on the right side obscures the view of everything behind it. But I like the visuals of the old vs. the new, the construction crane, and the wonderful sun rays coming through the mist with that dense fog in the background. I did a quick crop to take out what I felt were the two most distracting elements. I do like the branches in both lower corners though. They take the place of a vignette framing the subject. |

This is terrific. The subject in the foreground really pops while the gives me the impression that there is steam and smoke everywhere. Well done. I wouldn't change a thing. |

I've lowered the black point a bit to darken the blacks. Appreciate any comments if y'all think this is better. |

Thanks Jerry. Actually, you are looking into a huge room. The old building is undergoing renovation and is open front to back. The reflection of the seed storage tanks across the street happened to fit perfectly into the space. I was standing in the street below the level of the sidewalk and shooting up slightly which helped avoid capturing my reflection. It's one of those instances when everything came together just right to get that reflection-the place, time of day, lighting-and most likely would be difficult to reproduce. |
