I did a quick sign removal using the patch tool in Ps and a little spot touchup with the clone stamp. Just encircle each sign with the patch tool and slide to an area that's a good match.

Both of these work, but I really like the graphic nature of the B&W image. The tire scrubs and the concrete textures pop. I'm going to make one nit picky criticism though. I see an important relationship between the word "slow" and the three chevron signs in the curve as part of the image's story. In the color version those signs stand out as they are outlined in yellow. In the B&W they sort of melt in to the background.
They don't have the same impact in the mono so I would consider removing them. The contrasty nature of the overall image doesn't a lot of options.

This is a complex photograph to pull off well and you've done it. The harnessed pacers, the intense look of the rear cart driver, the "we're about to win" look of the front driver, the movement blur of the manes, it's all there. |

Both the original and the mono are excellent. The composition is spot on. The convergence of the line keeps swooping me up. |

The linear contrast in the leaves almost create a 3D effect as if you could touch the image and feel the ridges. The soft focus isn't an issue as it reminds me of a platinum print.
Since you do a lot of smartphone photography, check out my friend Steve Goff at stevegoffart.com. He's a college photography teacher and now only uses an iPhone for his photography. |

This is terrific. It would be hanging on my wall. I prefer the B&W version because I find myself getting caught up in the lovely colors on the original whereas the mono amplifies the curvilinear nature of the dunes. And that little scrub brush is a perfect anchor point for the image. |
