We were hoping to go back last summer, but, on well...
This was a day where it was drizzling rain for an hour the the clouds would part for 15 minutes and the light would stream in. Most of the time it was a bright overcast perfect for capturing the greens of the rainforest. I didn't know there were so many shades of green! |

I really like this. Though mostly midtones there are these perfectly spaced pops of contrast that bring the shot to life. |

I'll admit not one of my best. This was mostly an exercise in tone and texture, trying to get tone gradation out of what is basically a flat color image, so thanks for recognizing that. But I've got what I think is a good one for next month! |

The sep2 full dynamic harsh treatment works for this as it gives it an old Plus-X pushed-a-stop look, my go to film back in the day. I don't really have an issue with the tree as it sort of keeps my eye from wandering and directs me upward. And of course the people are perfect to provide scale for this natural wonder. |

The low angle shot of the gothic arch has the impact of making one look "heavenward", which is the objective of the chapel after all, isn't it? The textures are great and the tones capture that limited light aspect of the Norman church. As David said though it could use a bit of straightening. |
