I have a digital membership, but am my club's rep, so I looked through Who's Who. Years ago, it was easier, but they changed the rules. A friend does the PT and said I missed by a few points so that was nice to hear. |

Yes, a powerful image, but not one I would probably take. I'd like to see the original as a comparison. |

Different from your usual. Good texture and color. Background is handled well. Many would not take such a picture because we hear plants should be "perfect specimens", but I don't agree. Nice image. |

I like the color of the butterfly and flowers as they go together well. Butterflies are a challenge, especially if they are moving. The butterfly's head a sharp and that makes the image. I think without the flowers, it would not work as it would appear the butterfly was floating. With too much DOF, there would be more confusion. It is always a matter of compromise. |

Karen, Another great nature shot. I am glad you got out of the way before you were attacked. Somethings are not worth the risk. I have seen so many "photographers" get too close to wildlife, especially at Yellowstone. They need to get a long lens or buy a postcard.
I love the rack and position of the bull. The tree is a minor distraction, but with nature, you have to get what you can. Great images. |

Thanks. I make a lot of versions and many get deleted promptly, but it is fun to see what effects I can get. |

Thanks! I don't know how it would do in competition unless lines was the theme. I may try it to see what happens. |

I am sure you would have missed it! I like graphic images and knew there were possibilities in the decor as I waited for my appt. I have had a lot of fun with the images I took there. |

This was shot in a waiting room at a medical facility and their decor begged me to photograph it. One image from there is in the Chapter Showcase (Mid-Atlantic chapter--first runner up. |

I understand your comment. We all have our likes and dislikes. I bet my eyes are older and more tired than yours:-). I have barely used my camera this year so don't have many new images. I like the variety in the group. |

Well, you've beat me as I have never shot the Milky Way and doubt I will at this point. I like the dock leading into the image. I think Gunter's flip is a good idea. Nice image.
(I don't know what county you are in, but we haven't seen that far south in MO. Much of my father's family were from Ralls Co but he grew up in KC. |

First, congratulations on being in Who's Who for monochrome!
Your title is very appropriate; I don't always need to see what is at the end. It adds a bit of mystery. It works well as a monochrome. I think the sky could be a bit darker and cropped a bit. The clouds are great. |
