29 Jul 24 Reply I had problems with the lights in the original since they are so bright. It was a challenge for me to darken them. I cloned a lot in the base of the original since the paint was peeling and discolored. Jul 16th
29 Jul 24 Reply I had to check to see how many altered images I have used. I have over 40 retired images that were altered. Many are from stairways, but also bikes, organ pipes, windows and just plain abstracts. Jul 16th
29 Jul 24 Reply Bob, you are missing a lot if you avoid stairways! Jim Zuckerman does a lot of stairways. I have made a lot of images from the stairways in the Old State House stairways in Dover, DE. They have done well in the Chapter Showcase and PSA Exhibitions. Jul 16th
29 Jul 24 Comment My kind of subject. I think you need more detail in the shadow areas. It is risky entering such buildings. I have done several workshops in old buildings and we are always given warnings. Almost got a nail through my shoe once. I am curious whether this was in the Palouse area. There are many such places there. Jul 16th
29 Jul 24 Comment Great title for a nice image. I have to learn more about the Polar Coordinates. Great color and placement of the different colors. Jul 16th
29 Jul 24 Comment I am glad you said you added the bird and sailboats. They do add a lot of interest to the image. Nice scene. I darkened the sky a bit. Jul 16th
29 Jul 24 Comment This must be the first monochrome image of fireworks I've seen. I like the pattern. I cropped it differently, but there are several possibilities with your image. This is very different from your usual entries. Jul 16th
29 Jul 24 Comment Lovely image. Very sharp and well lit. I like Karen's version. The details are very good and make the image more appealing. Well done. Jul 16th
29 Jul 24 Comment Very nice street shot. I agree with Karen and Elaine on the left side. I also lightened the face a bit. This would be great as a PJ entry. Monochrome works well. Jul 16th
