Karen, Thanks for your suggestions. They make for a much better image. That's what I love about this group--all the good suggestions for improvement. You and I have been in the group a long, long time! |

I love the windows and cropped down to show just them and then used the polar coordinates to make an abstract. It was just too much temptation not to play with it. It is a grand station and I have seen many images of it; I may even have been in it eons ago. It is good that it was saved. It is nice the way you have it and the colors are good. I was in Denver last summer and went to the station there and had fun photographing it. |

Bob, you and I will soon be thrown out of grocery stores! I just took a bunch when I picked up and returned some Amazon packages. I assume you did the swirl first and then added the filter. I think it works well with the extra color and without it. The wrapping presents problems as do barcodes and price tags. I try to get close with the macro on my 13 phone. You give us good ideas. |

The tones are very nice and you have the "right" number of benches. I like the mono image with just the trees as well as the other original. To me, the trees seem too heavy and dominating to work well with the benches. I tried different crops and am including one. It isn't great but I was trying to see what I could do with it. The other suggestion is to just have one bench--the one in the middle. I appreciate your creativity. |

You are an inspiration. It is amazing to see the change from day to day. Well executed as always. I love to work with flowers on my iPad and it is fun. They are always good subjects and we can do so much with them. Well done! |

One problem with being late in making comments is that everyone has already said what I would. I love this image. I must get out a lightbox and try some work on it. I have done a little in the past, but not enough. I'll have to remember to have a flashlight handy. A local photographer photographed dead flowers for quite a while and they were beautiful images. This shows we shouldn't overlook subjects that can turn out to make great photos. The detail in your image is excellent. I agree with Gunter that a close-up of one bloom would also be good. |

I love this; it is a great street shot. The composition is good and the man looks comfortable having his picture taken. Some exhibitions are having street themes (usually monochrome) now and I have found that images do well in that when they wouldn't in an open category. This would also do well as a PJ image. |

The case is often different if the person is a minor. I used to take a lot of candid shots at a pre-school and needed model releases because I was submitting them to educational publications. They required a release and most parents were happy to give me a release. I gave them a print in return. One image did not show the child's face and was used for a poster and the mother eventually saw it! |
