It may have been my shooting angle. I think the pews were not the same on both sides. I'll have to go back and try again. |

Since I do so many travel images where things like vents can't be removed, I forget to remove them when I can. Thanks for the reminder. |

I have to remember to use the perspective control built into Olympus cameras as it really helps while taking such pictures. The problem is that once PC is selected, other changes are impossible. I'll have to go back to it and see if I can straighten it more. |

Bob--couch? I took this so long ago with an older camera and don't remmember the layout of the main floor. There is a balcony too. It may not be open now with all the vandalism here and everwhere. I enjoy seeing the old buildings in MD and elsewhere. I did not use a tripod and could probably get a better image with my new phone! |

I have several lensbaby lenses and haven't used them in a long time. Corey Hilz wrote a book about Lensbaby and I have taken classes with him, but there are no examples on his webpage https://coreyhilz.com/. I always had trouble finding something to get in focus. His book is old and you might find a used copy online. The lenses are a challenge, but I have seemn some interesting images using them. Since you have the lens, keep working with it. Maybe I'll get mine out again. You image has problems as indicated by the others. |

Bob, You love to play with your images. This is another image that encourages one to try a variety to effects. I tried an opposite direction which of course removes the leaves entirely. Yours is better but I had to see what effect I could get. I agree on the lower right corner. I enjoy seeing your experiments. |

Gunter, you sure gave us a great image to play with! There are so many different effects one can get that it is hard to pick one. I tried several Topaz filters and then settled on one in PSElements just for fun. This is the kind of image that provides many opportunities. I really need to try some lightbox flowers one of these days. Well done/ |

What a great idea--bring leaves inside where you can arrange them. Color is great as is your arrangement. I am conflicted about the decaying parts--it shows reality, but I have heard so many times to get such images at the peak. A local photographer did a series of deaad flower images and they were beautiful. I also enjoy the fall season and am glad to live where we have 4 seasons. You do keep coming up with new ideas to inspire us. |

I like the image a lot as it shows a different view from what we often see. The angle is nice as is the color. The detail and texture are well done too. Very nice image. |

Blacksmiths are a challenge to photograph due to the light, but I prefer to catch them at work, not looking at me. I like the idea of toning the image, but these days, one has to read the definition for monochrome as some exhibitions don't permit toning. Some of us fought against it, but were outvoted. The background doesn't bother me because it shows the tools of the trade and are part of the story. Well done. |
