29 Dec 22 Reply Gunter,

Good question! There are 3 reality based Divisions--Nature, Photojournalism and Photo Travel and they have similar requirements. You cannot remove or add anything to an image. Cropping and burning and dodging are permitted within limits. Images must appear as you see them. Definitions are changing due to a variety of factors. You can read the full definitions at the link below. They are important only if a member wants to compete in PSA recognized exhibitions. I sometimes make 2 versions of an image so I can use a changed one in PID where there are not many restrictions.

29 Dec 22 Reply Since my phone is relatively new, I have been eager to try it out. I have found that it does a better job on interior shots that i could get with a hand held camera. I am somewhat lazy when it comes to tripods. This phone is much better for photography than my old one. It shoot raw images, but I have a lot to learn about all its features. Dec 22nd
29 Dec 22 Reply I like your version, but since I tend to stick to the PT rules, especially for a PT publication I don't consider making such changes. However, I could for PID. Dec 22nd
29 Dec 22 Comment Thanks for trying something new and giving us the information on how you did it. Could have fooled me. It looks quite real, but I wouldn't try it in a nature competition:-). Dec 22nd
29 Dec 22 Comment This is a very interesting image with strong elements and so fitting as we prepare for a very cold spell tomorrow! The ice patch on the right serves as a nice balance. I am sticking with Elements, but moved up to 2021--but haven't had time to learn it or the new versions of NIK and Topaz. I am in the middle of changing computers so that is complicating my life now. 29 Dec 22 Comment Very nice image with good color. I have not been there, but it looks worth a trip. I used Perspective Efex Pro to straighten it and then cropped a bit. Dec 22nd
29 Dec 22 Comment Great action shot! The fur is sharp and has good detail. I like Gunter's revison since the dog is not so centered. I am not sure you really need any sky, but that is a maker's choice. Dec 22nd
29 Dec 22 Comment I like the square format as it fits the image well. Parts of it look like a texture was added or another process--I like that part of it whatever caused it. The rider's position may be wrong, but it kind of adds a nice element to the image. Dec 22nd
