29 Apr 21 Reply Thanks, Bill, Tim and Stephan. Sometimes I get lucky with my jpeg images. Now that I shoot raw too, I can see the advantages. That was a fantastic trip but we never would have made it to Alaska if we had stopped for every picture I wanted to take. Being in an RV made stopping more of a challenge too. Apr 16th
29 Apr 21 Reply Karen,

Adding the dog would make for a nice Christmas card, but I'd have to borrow a dog:-). We do have 5 grand-dogs, but 3 are in CA and 2 in VA.

29 Apr 21 Comment Bill,

That looks like a nice place to see and to photograph. You have the people in just the right place so waiting paid off. I think it works as a vertical or horizontal. It is nice seeing all the blossoms.

29 Apr 21 Comment Tam, you had a challenge with a bird in a tree which makes it hard to focus. The eye doesn't seem sharp to me, but it is hard to get the eye sharp. The branch cutting across the bird is distracting and perhaps moving would have eliminated it. For nature, it can't be changed. Yes, those long lenses are heavy! Apr 16th
29 Apr 21 Comment Karen,

Fantastic picture of an egret in flight. There is nothing to improve. I had to look up Jensen Beach since I had never heard of it. We usually go on the Gulf coast since I had a friend who lived in Bradenton in the winter. FL was our last trip in Feb. 2020.

This would certainly do well in Nature if you enter exhibitions. Birds in flight are a challenge and you met it!

29 Apr 21 Comment Good for you trying compositing--something I have rarely tried. I didn't notice the shadow issues mentioned above. I do like the wall you used and don't mind the centering. The color and exposure are well done. This is an interesting image and different from many that I see. Well done. Apr 16th
29 Apr 21 Comment Welcome to our group, Tim. I am a former Nikon user and still have some equipment, but have switched mostly to Olympus because it is lighter.
The clouds and their reflection make this a stunning image. The middle is a bit too dark for me so I lightened it a bit so we could see what's there. The color is fine the way it is. Overall, this is a very nice image.
