29 Oct 19 Comment If you find out how to fix skies like this, let me know asap since I often have the same problem. I tried using Topaz DeNoise which sometimes works, but not this time. I think the best option is to replace the sky with a better one. I have a folder with cloudy skies and use something from it to add better skies. Of course this can only be done in PID. This image a is very appealing and is well composed with the tractor prominent and the hay bales balancing the image well. The color is nice and I thought maybe it was taken in Washington state. It always pays to be ready to take a picture and is something I should do more often. Oct 10th
29 Oct 19 Comment The contrast makes it hard to capture all the light there. The boat is overexposed and this contrasts with the dark mountain behind. Bergen is a beautiful place and full of photo ops. I tried darkening the boat and lightening the mountain and added some detail. Oct 10th
29 Oct 19 Comment For some reason I could not open this in Elements so I just give some comments. I like the position of the elk, but would like more detail in the dark areas. The horizon is not level which doesn't count for much in nature competition. This is really a nice capture. Oct 10th
29 Oct 19 Comment Your client should be quite pleased.The tree branches form a nice circle with the figures in the center. The shadows form nice leading lines and one can see the sunset approaching. Oct 10th
29 Oct 19 Comment I love the shot in many ways. You said you preferred color to monochrome, but the image is very monochromatic. My nitpicks include the bright area at the top,and the dark areas in the upper corners. I tried removing the latter, but messed up the line on the left. I tried B&W Topaz just to see the difference. The shadows and interplay with the figures really work well together and make for a great composition. Without the shadows/pattern on the left, the figures would not be nearly as interesting.
