29 Jan 19 Reply Bob, somehow my comment didn't post. I was being sympathetic to your not being able to carry much. I am in the same position and often work out of the car while my patient husband waits for me! I don't know why I keep any Nikon gear as I rarely use it. I do have a 150-600mm Sigma to use for wildlife, but haven't had much chance to use it. However, I now have a 100-400mm LUMIX for my Olympus which hasn't had much use either! Jan 21st
29 Jan 19 Reply I usually try most of my images to monochrome and am surprised at how good some look. I am an old darkroom worker and have always loved monochrome. It is so much easier on a computer!

I always appreciate suggestions from this group. You have helped me make images better and into acceptances.

29 Jan 19 Comment He died before the Brooklyn Bridge was completed, but designed one in Cincinnati before he started the Brooklyn Bridge. I didn't know that he also designed aqueducts. We have visited his birth town in Germany. He had a fascinating life and was well versed in engineering. Jan 21st

29 Jan 19 Comment My kind of picture. I love church interiors and this is a beautiful one. I agree about the rule of thirds--can always be broken when it suits. I think this can use a bit more contrast so I added some. Very well done, especially considering it was hand held. Jan 13th
29 Jan 19 Comment You captured the place very well and your image brings back memories. We had very rough waters on a Panama canal cruise but I remember the arch. I think the picture is a bit overexposed. I darkened it a bit and added some detail. The water is beautiful. You did a good job considering the conditions. Jan 13th
29 Jan 19 Comment Great image and well composed. The angle of the ears is very nice and blue sky really add a lot. It is an image that causes a smile. The Auto setting worked very well and there are times when it is the best way to shoot. It sounds as if your husband is as supportive as mine when it comes to stopping.Finding a safe place to stop is often a challenge. Jan 13th
29 Jan 19 Comment The setting is beautiful as is your model. The pose if lovely too. The large bright area in the upper left corner distracts the viewer from your subject. I cropped it, burned in the corner some and added some contrast. Maybe another angle would have worked better, but you may not have had much choice. Jan 13th
29 Jan 19 Comment I have long heard about this park, but have never been there!
Yes, PA can be beautiful in the fall but not in 2017. I like the square format which works well here. I think this would work better as part of a series than by itself. It looks as if it was a good day for reflections. I don't know what lens you used, but a longer lens would have been able to get more details.
