29 Feb 18 Comment With all the digital toys we have now, it is hard not to play with our images. Since some images have creative themes, I want to try different techniques. My phone has more than my PC. With film, we had Cokin filters, but they had their limits. The question is when does photography stop being photography? Feb 13th
29 Feb 18 Comment I don"t think this was up when I did my reviews. It makes a nice minimalist image. I agree on the cropping. I made a few changes in NIK, but maybe overdid the sky. It certainly shows winter. Color images don't always need a lot of color. Feb 13th
29 Feb 18 Comment Ah,my kind of image! I know you don't like a lot of OO, but the green seems unreal so I lowered the saturation a bit and also the hue. I also darkened the sky a tad. I love these kinds of places. There is an old truck lot near Richmond I'd love to see and Old Cary City in GA.

The diagonal works very well with the sheet music.Assignments are a good way to force us into trying new things.Did you try this as a single shot with both together? I have mixed feelings about the notes being on top of the instrument. However, you met the assignment well. Feb 10th
29 Feb 18 Comment I like the idea, but I think there is too much empty space. I highly recommend ProCam since it has a zoom feature as well as settings like a camera. You can even focus manually and set the ISO. It has HDR too. It is amazing what it can do, at least with my 6+. The fog really makes this shot, but I wish the figure were larger. Feb 10th
29 Feb 18 Comment I think silky water can be overdone and it should be the photographer's choice. There are NO rules! I love scenes like this although we rarely get to the ocean which I prefer off season!The area where the lighthouse is makes the image look as if it weren't straight, but the people are standing upright so you can't change it. I think the tighter crop is better. I really love your other image--great mood shot. Did you put that in as a teaser? Bother are well done! Feb 10th
