Thanks for all your helpful comments. Jim, it could be my eyes! I tend to depend on autofocus. The cataract surgery on my shooting eye doesn't seem as good as that done on my left eye years ago. I am attaching the original jpg but did process from the raw version. It is easy with the Pro Olympus
lenses to accidentally push the front ring to manual focus and I may have done that. It is a nice feature, but one has to be careful. It overrides the camera setting! |

What? No Carrie Furnace picture! This is a great nature shot with nice lines, especially in the beaks. It would be nice if there were more light in the adult's eye, but we can't have everything. You really caught a great moment. Birds are not easy and you did a great job. |

Such buildings are hard to get everything lined up just right. I used the lens adjustment filter in PSE and just cropped the top to make it all straight. I wish there were some color in the sky, but I tried to darken it and made a mess. Maybe you could add a sky from another image. This would be a fun image to play with with the great design it has. It might look interesting with some weird colors. I like the composition a lot. |

The angle is just right and makes a nice diagonal. You filled the frame well, but I think there is still too much sky. I cropped it a bit and added detail in CEP. These pictures are hard to get and you did very well. |

Beautiful color and the fog and reflection add a lot to the image. I think there is a bit too much fog at the top so I cropped it and then added some detail and a skylight filter in CEP. This really makes me want to go to Bear Lake. |

I like your coloring better, but I am not always successful with content aware and end up with a mess! I did use a vignette but I guess it wasn't even so just one corner got the full effect. I appreciate your comments. |

I am sure the sheep feels better with less fur! Fairs are a great place to take pictures (of course I haven't been to our county fair for years!). T he bright spot in the upper right corner is distracting so I cloned it out and lightened the face of the man on the left. It would be nice to see both faces, but the man on the right is doing his job, not posing. Perhaps a different angle would work better. It certainly is a story telling image and would fit nicely in PJ. |

It is obvious that June is not the only time to visit the Palouse! I love the muted colors here and the variety of texture. The snow covered (or is it frost?) branches at the bottom are out of focus and thus distracting to me. I cropped them out. I suppose this is a case where focus stacking (which I have not tried) would help get more DOF. The black item in the upper left corner adds a nice focus point. I guess it may be some machinery. Nice image. |
