I received another email reminding me to do my reviews so I figured this was a good time. We got to our motel early so I had more time than usual.

I forgot to resize the image after editing so here goes. Thanks for Bob for waking me up. |

Back Bay is a nice place, but we went some months ago (our daughter lives in Va Beach) and I couldn't find anything either. However, we met a woman who photographs airplanes for all kinds of organizations and volunteers here. She was off duty, but gave us a private tour of the area and recommended a good restaurant too.
There isn't enough here for me either, but it pays to take pictures anyway. It keeps us in practice. |

I like it! The cropping is well done and the monochrome is especially nice. I assume it was entered by your club if they compete in inter-club PSA competitions. No reasons are given for scores in any exhibitions and no comments either.
In Photo travel, posed pictures are not allowed, but I am sure that rule as well as removing things from images are done all the time. Who can tell? I have had the same image get a wide range of scores in different exhibitions. Wilmington is my home town and i am done entering there--I have had very few acceptances there and my 1 PSA medal got a 6! There is no telling how any image will do. Don't give up. Study groups are the best learning in PSA IMHO;that and Jon
Fishback's courses. |

Another beautiful dance image. You did well to hand hold that long lens! I agree with Bob and Bill on the floor. I like the added touch of light below the main one. |

Karen,
This is lovely and I like the red with the silver tree trunks. The boulders kind of give it a base, but I could go either way with them. I am working on my laptop so that may make your image look a bit "dull" I added some contrast in .CEP and also used a bit of detail extractor and glamour glow. I like the way you separated the 2 larger trees on the left; it adds a nice contrast to the group on the right. Well done |

Bill, I agree with you about the upper right corner. If I had gotten down lower, i might not have been able to get up again! the soles of my boots came loose soon after we started so I had to switch to regular shoes--not good for this place. |

Thanks. I really need to learn LR and the radial filter, especially since Google is neglecting NIK which I count on for my workflow. |

Karen, I like your crop better. With all the water on the floor, I was trying not to get in it. I think this will make a better monochrome image, but it would be fun to do more experimenting with it. Not so sure about gold wooden spools though. |

First, I have to say that you have given us good news about the 2019 Conference! The Palouse should be very different in the fall.
I love this image with all the diagonal lines across the image. The detail in the plants in the foreground adds interest and the texture really makes for an interesting image. This is much better art than most I've seen in medical offices!
Sorry to be late, but doing reviews on the road is a challenge. |
